DESCRIPTION:The Prince George Chamber of Commerce invites you to join us for an informative breakfast workshop titled "The Dynamics of Succession Planning in the Family Enterprise" with Judi Cunningham\, Executive Director of the Business Families Centre at the Sauder School of Business.\n\n\n\nExplore and learn about Family Enterprises world-wide and the challenges and strengths that come along. Traditionally\, succession planning has been focused on technical solutions like estate planning\, tax planning\, and legal solutions.  Understand why familial relationships and where families are in their transition process are important before you embark on the technical solutions. Learn about good governance\, the difference between ownership and management transitions\, and how a vision for the future in each of the three circles (family\, owners\, and manager) leads to effective transition plans.\n\n\n\nThis workshop is intended for all family members (active in the business or not) from multiple generations\, entrepreneurial individuals\, shareholders\, non-family executives\, and professional advisors. Come learn about how to prepare your family and business for a successful future. \n\n\n\nJudi is a tireless champion for business families both as founding Executive Director of the Business Families Centre at the Sauder School of Business\, and as part of a second generation business family. Judi has been instrumental in developing world class programming for business families and she has pioneered a new field of study at the university level for professional advisors with the Sauder School of Business' Family Enterprise Advisor Program.\n\n\n\nJudi has nearly twenty years of experience as an organizational development consultant\, facilitator\, leadership coach and marriage and family therapist.
