With over 35 years' experience in the industry\, the last 25 have focused on rebuilding mining companies\, as well as maintaining various responsibilities at surface and underground mining operations. Mark has completed numerous efficiency and process improvement consulting projects both domestically and abroad. Recent successes include the restart of two open-pit mines in Northeast BC that had been on care-and-maintencance status since 2014.\n\n\n\nIn mid-2016\, a contract mining agreement with Walter Energy Canada Holdings\, Inc. enabled loading of coal for shipment at the Brule mine\, near Chetwynd\, immediately after both parties signed. The mine reached full-scale production by year-end. This success continued in 2017 with the restart of the Perry Creek-Wolverine mine near Tumbler Ridge. As a result\, about 400 mining jobs have returned to the area. The company has a community-focused and local supplier based vision for running sustainable operations.\n\n\n\nMark is married with six children and enjoys hunting in his spare time. In July of 2014 Mark published part one of two books called "Building Integrity" it captures different plans to empower and engage a team towards a common objective. The result of the integrity process will produce a win-win for the owners of an organization\, management\, the workforce\, and community. Building Integrity not only addresses business growth plans but also a personal journey into character development.
