DESCRIPTION:Thinking of joining the Chamber Board of Directors?  Come to an Information session to learn more about the benefits and expectations of becoming a Director on our Board.\n\n\n\nThe 15 person Board of Directors is elected by the membership at our Annual General Meeting which is taking place on March 5\, 2014\, at the Ramada Hotel. Five members of the Board serve in Executive roles while the remaining ten Board members serve as Directors.  Directors serve a 2 year term with the Chamber unless extraordinary circumstances prevent them from carrying out their full term and the subsequent vacancy is filled for the balance of that term at the AGM.  Also each year\, 5 of the 10 Director positions become vacant.  This is to ensure that the board carries some experienced Directors to help guide those that are new.  Should a Director resign during the first 10 months of the year\, the President has the authority to appoint a replacement for the balance of that term.\n\n\n\nChamber of Commerce Directors are:\n\n\n\n\n	\n		Business and Community leaders who give of their resources in time and/or dollars for the betterment of Prince George \n\n\n	\n		Part of a network of internal and external influential contacts\n\n\n	\n		Honest\, dedicated\, committed\, hardworking business people who can be relied on to set goals and see them through\n\n\n	\n		Willing to step forward and be counted\n\n\n\nPlease see attached documents\, read over the "Duties & Expectations of Directors" and print off the application form to be submitted prior to our AGM on March 5\, 2014.\n\n\n\nDuties & Expectations of Directors\n\n\n\nApplication Form\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Although this is a free event\, we ask that you please register online or by contacting the Chamber at 250-562-2454.
