The chamber of commerce wants to give all our members the opportunity to hear directly from our local politicians while enhancing networking opportunities. \n\n\n\nTakeaways from our keynote speaker include:\n\n	Proportional representation \n	Non-partisan presentation on business outlook for the city/region\n	Any additional policy items he sees as beneficial to the business community\n	Provincial budget pros and cons\n\nPresented by: \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nMLA Mike Morris Prince George - Mackenzie \n\n\nPrior to being elected to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in 2013\, Mike spent 32 years in the RCMP\, serving most of his time in the northern communities before retiring as the Superintendent for the North District. Mike has also been an adjudicator and mediator with the Health Professions Review Board\, has served on the Drug Benefit Council for BC since 2009\, and is the Past President of the BC Trappers Association.\n\n\n\nPreviously\, Mike served as Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General\, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Forests\, Lands and Natural Resource Operations\, and he now leads a critical role on Public Safety and Solicitor General for the Official Opposition. He has also been appointed to the Special Committee to Appoint a Conflict of Interest Commissioner. \n\n\n\nIn his spare time Mike likes to spend time with his Wife\, two sons and their families. He looks forward to heading out to his cabin on his trap line whenever he has a chance to get away\, and also raises honey bees.
