He comes to Prince George from the Hamilton International Airport\, where he has held the position of Vice President of Marketing since 2001. Under his leadership\, Hamilton saw tremendous growth in both passenger and cargo business.\n\n\n\nIn John's three years with the PGAA\, financial performance has stabilized as the airport surpasses pre-recession traffic levels.\n\n\n\nPrior to Hamilton\, he held senior positions in air cargo with Canadian Airlines International\, where he was General Manager - Cargo International. In this role\, he successfully developed a series of cargo initiatives in Japan\, Asia\, South America\, and the United States.\n\n\n\nPrior to Canadian Airlines\, John held various positions in Passenger Marketing and Airport and Customer Operations Planning with Pacific Western Airlines.\n\n\n\nJohn has been in the aviation industry for over 40 years with experience in both airline and airport operations\, as well as tourism marketing in Hamilton and Prince George.\n\n\n\nJohn holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Masters of Business Administration from UBC and carries many affiliations in a variety of aviation organizations\, including being the Past Chair of the Canadian Airports Council Cargo Subcommittee.\n\n\n\nJohn is currently the Chair of the Canadian Airport Council and sits on the Airport Council International - North America (ACI-NA) Board of Directors\, and is the Vice Chair of Tourism Prince George.\n\n\n\nJohn and his wife Corrine have four children and two grandchildren.
