DESCRIPTION:Want to talk about new and exciting things that can potentially change the world as we know it?  Join the fun as we explore innovative topics and material\, and connect with others curious about how the world works and ways we can get involved.\n \n\nThe Visualization of Cultural Data\n\n\nTravis White will lead discussion about the visualization of cultural data and how novel insights can be gleaned about a particular time\, place\, or aspect of society by a computational look at the relationships between the people\, places\, and events involved. Travis' talk will be based on an ongoing research study by Ryerson University and the UBCO Humanist Data Lab at UBCO.  Coffee\, treats and networking included!\n\n\n\nXPRIZE Think Tanks are local communities that bring together a wide range of people\, skills\, and experience to work together to make the world a better place. Together we share information and ideas around challenges in the world\, new technology\, and how technology and community can solve these challenges. We then together as a group explore how we can make a difference in these areas with the skills\, experience\, and perspective of our group members.
