Ellis Ross, past Chief Councilor of the Haisla Nation
Ellis Ross was elected a full-time Councilor of the Haisla Nation in 2003. During his nine years as a Councilor, he began to focus on Aboriginal rights and title and economic development issues.In 2011 he was elected Chief Councilor of the Haisla Nation and was re-elected in 2013 by acclamation. He recently left his position as Chief to pursue a role in Provincial politics.
In 2012, BC Business magazine named Mr. Ross to “BC’s Power 50,” and Canadian Business magazine in 2013 named him one of the 50 Canadians who exert the most influence on the country’s business climate and community.

The Honourable Perrin Beatty is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the 200,000-member Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Canada’s largest and most representative national business association. Perrin is the principal spokesperson advocating the policy positions of the Canadian Chamber’s members to the federal government, international organizations, the media and the general public. Perrin has served on a number of Canadian government advisory committees, is a member of the advisory council of the Canadian Defence and Foreign Affairs Institute and is a member of the board of directors of the Canadian International Council and of Mitsui Canada.Event Agenda:
