The Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Future Cents and Community Partners would like to invite you to a unique workshop on October 2, 2012 on how to spruce up your store frontage for winter!
Linda Parker from Community Policing, Suzanne Samkow from L&M Engineering and a representative from the Canada Winter Games will present a two hour workshop to business owners on how to create welcoming, safe and unique storefront designs specifically for winter, helping to prepare business for the Canada Winter Games opportunity. Real life local examples of store fronts will be reviewed and critiqued during the workshop to provide useful feedback to participant.
Interested businesses may also take part in the "Welcoming Winter" Cleanup on October 3, 2012. Those who attend the Workshop have first choice on whether or not to participate in the clean up as space is limited. Two youth teams from Future Cents will be sent to participating businesses to help implement the "Winter Haven" that was visualized during the workshop. For example: washing windows, sweeping sidewalks, dusting awnings, etc.
A Chamber representative will contact participants of the "Welcoming Winter" Cleanup taking place on October 3, 2012 to schedule a time for the youth team from Future Cents to come and help improve your winter curb appeal prior to the event.
