Marketing Workshop Series: Marketing Essentials in a Changing World
The Prince George Chamber of Commerce, Community Futures and Innovation Central Society have come together to offer a series of marketing workshops tailored to helping you make sense of marketing in a changing world. Addressing questions like: “do I need a marketing plan; should I get a website or a Facebook page, how much do I need to spend on advertising?” We want to give you the information you need to make the right decisions.
Session 3: Promotion, Advertising, Social Media, PR, looking at a return on investment.
Join newly elected Chamber Director and Principal of MC3 Marketing Communications, Tracy McCall for the final chapter in this Marketing Workshop Series. To communicate with customers a company can use a variety of promotional alternatives – known as the promotional mix: advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, public relations and direct marketing. During this workshop you will consider the advantages and disadvantages of alternative advertising media including traditional media and social media and learn to select the right media for your target market. This session will include steps to develop, execute, and evaluate an advertising program, recognizing PR as an important form of communications and identifying and responding to public relations opportunities.
The owner of MC3 Marketing Communications, Tracy has worked in the communications industry for almost 20 years as both a consultant and with a large media company. Throughout her career in a variety of towns in BC, she has assisted small business, non-profit organizations and government agencies. Services include but are not limited to: identity, branding, marketing, planning, and specialized campaigns. Skilled in the theoretical aspects of marketing as well as a technical, Tracy is a marketer and graphic designer. She is also a part-time post secondary instructor.
Tracy is looking forward to giving the businesses people and entrepreneurs practical information about the fundamentals of effective marketing.
