A Speaker Series Luncheon with
Mayor Lyn Hall and City Manager Kathleen Soltis
Don't miss out on the final Chamber luncheon of 2017, join Mayor Lyn Hall and Kathleen Soltis for a review of what happened in our City this year along with a look ahead to 2018 and beyond. From positive economic indicators such as building permits to referendum results and the next steps. Finally, a year update on the strategic plan, there are many exciting and challenging initiatives that are changing the face of Prince George.
As we close one year and get ready to start another, there will be no better opportunity to hear about what’s in store for Prince George and how Chamber members can help to shape our community’s future.

City Manager Kathleen Soltis:
Kathleen Soltis is a member of a "pioneer" Prince George family. Her father, Dr. John (Jack) McKenzie, was born in Prince George in 1917. Kathleen was raised in Prince George; then moved to Vancouver to attend UBC. After obtaining a BA in Economics and an MBA from UBC, Kathleen returned home to Prince George.
Kathleen's public sector career began with the federal government (Canada Employment and Immigration Commission) administering grant programs. In 1986, Kathleen began to work for the City of Prince George as a Personnel Officer. In 1989, she was promoted to Director of Human Resources and a few years later she became the Director of Corporate Services. After a number of acting assignments, in 2015, Kathleen became the City Manager. Kathleen loves working for the City of Prince George where things are always changing and there are many opportunities to learn, develop, and contribute to the community. She is fortunate to work with an excellent team of elected officials and civic employees.
