About Our Speaker: Geoff Ritchie brings exceptional aviation expertise to his new role, with a distinguished career spanning four decades across three continents. A Royal Air Force trained aeronautical engineer, Geoff has worked with the UK's Air Accident Investigation Branch, major airlines, and aviation maintenance organizations throughout Europe and North America. His leadership experience includes developing a dedicated British Airways maintenance facility in Cardiff, Wales, and managing engineering operations at world-class airports including London Heathrow and Amsterdam Schiphol for airlines such as British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

After L3 Communications brought him to Canada in 2003, Geoff founded two globally successful companies in aircraft leasing and executive aviation markets. He later served as the Government of Alberta's subject matter expert for the Aerospace and Defence Industry, where he developed new industry branches focused on aerospace, engineering, and advanced manufacturing sectors. Most recently, as part of the senior leadership team at Kelowna International Airport (YLW), Geoff led the airport's remarkable COVID recovery, transforming it into Canada's fastest-recovering airport and advancing it from 11th to 9th busiest in the country.
