About Us
Coastal GasLink delivers the natural gas from northeastern B.C. to the LNG Canada facility in Kitimat, B.C., LNG Canada then prepares it for export to global markets by converting the gas to a liquefied state – also known as LNG. Coastal GasLink is not producing or exporting natural gas or LNG – our role is to ensure the safe transportation of natural gas. The Coastal GasLink pipeline delivers 2.1 billion cubic feet per day (bcf/d) of natural gas with the potential to deliver up to 5 bcf/d, through additional compression along the route.
The approved Coastal GasLink route was determined by considering Indigenous, landowner and stakeholder input, the environment, archaeological and cultural values, land use compatibility, safety, constructability and economics.
